Tour and wine tasting in Châteauneuf du Pape
In the XIVth century, the Popes chose Châteauneuf to build their summer residence. They planted the first vineyard there in the rocky soil that surrounded their estate. Today 18 varieties of grapes can be used to produce this sunshine and full bodied wine, such as Cinsaut, Grenache noir, Mourvèdre, Syrah.

The Verger des Papes stands on top of the village just underneath the castle - former summer residence of the Popes. In the shade of the Pine trees and in the magical provençal atmosphere hearing the cicadas, the terrace of the restaurant dominates the vineyards and offers an exceptional view on the Mount Ventoux and the city of Avignon.
