The French Riviera is located in the South of France on the Mediterranean Sea between Saint Tropez and Manton. It benefits from a mild climate in winter and remains very pleasantly warm from May through October. (If possible however, it is best to avoid July and August when all of Europe, UK and Russia take vacations there!)
Along the coast the population density is high with an abundance of hotels and villas overlooking “La Grande Bleu”.
Inland, things are calmer and its lovely to take the time to drive on the small roads from village to village and discover their unique cachet. Pascal recommends driving in a convertible or comfortable motorcycle. The cities you should not miss during your Riviera holiday are Saint Tropez, Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Grace, Saint Paul de Vence, Eze, and of course Monaco. Again, as there is so much to do, 3 days is the bare minimum here.
