Founded in 1098 by monks of the abbey of Cîteaux, the vineyard of Clos de Vougeot Grand cru covers more than 50 hectares. Today, it is owned by more than 80 owners. This Grand cru is one of the most prestigious wine from Burgundy. The castle welcomes now the "chapitres" (dinners) of the emblematic Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (the Brotherhood of the Knights of Tastevin).

Once Françoise and Gérard arrived in Volnay in 1964, the began their production of high-quality Burgundy wines, specializing in Pinot Noir and vinifying only Premier Crus. Beiing the owner of some interesting plots in Volnay, Pommard and Santenay, the family domain will start to grow and become a renowned domain of Burgundy. Today, their son Nicolas is running the estate with a lot of innovation, amassed through his travels and experiences around the world.

Since he was young, Michel participated in the work of the vineyards with his father who at the time only owned 4 hectares. Representing the fourth generation, Michel and his wife started to acquire many plots which they took good care of and saw grow thanks to their efforts and passion. Nowadays, the Domaine Magnien owns 18 hectares in Côte de Nuits and adopted biodynamics farming methods with respect for the next generations, the terroir and the environment.

Founded in 1825 and after 7 generations, today Faiveley family estate is one of the very best domains of Burgundy. By acquiring exceptional plots here and there over time, this family has developed and grown to the point of today owning a collection of Grands Crus and Premiers Crus in prestigious appellations such as Corton, Corton Charlemagne , Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Chambolle Musigny. 
Even if the domain was established by Pierre, it experienced real growth under the influence of Guy Faiveley who created the Chevalier du Tastevin.

Drop off is at 06:00PM back to your hotel or to the train station.
