This vineyard covers 532 hectares. White wines are produced from Sauvignon up to 60 to 80 % mixed with Arbois or Chardonnay. A small quantity is turned into sparkling wines.

Red wines are made from Gamay blended with pinot noir. These light and fruity wines are meant to be drunk young. Cour-Cheverny wines are made with100% Romorantin grape. They are dry, tender and full bodied wines. They have an amazing long aging capacity which can reach 25 years for the bets vintages. The Cour Cheverny wines exist today because of King Francois 1st. On his way back from Italy, Francois 1st stopped in Burgundy. He brought back 80 000 vines of Romorantin. Nowadays the Cour Cheverny is the only appellation in the world using Romorantin grape.
