Witness the magnificent display of natural beauty and the pleasure of air filled with the relaxing aroma of lavender...The bees relentlessly making the amazing lavender-infused honey, the shades of violet contrasting with the golden wheat fields, all against a deep azure-blue sky.
And THE PLACE to view lavender fields in their full glory is definitely the Haute Provence region’s famed Plateau de Valensole. From mid-to-late-June through mid-July this plateau, at an altitude of 800 meters (2600 ft.), pops to brilliant life with unbelievable landscapes. Countless photo opportunities and a feast for the senses are to be had in the natural beauty of Summer in Provence!
Your guide will take you to a lavender farm where you will discover lavender and lavandin products, then stop in a provincial market to taste the many local specialties. Miam miam!
The medieval village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie
Moustiers-Ste-Marie is an old medieval village sitting at the base of a high rocky cliff with stunning views. A mountain stream runs through the village with waterfalls that running down a deep gorge, all providing a picturesque and refreshing summer scene. You'll enjoy the many faïence pottery shops and a faience museum.
Moustiers has a rich history in ceramic craftsmanship and the faïence is renowned throughout Europe for its fine decoration since the 17th century. The village has narrow pedestrian-only medieval streets and vaulted passages with a center plaza around the church. To say it's charming would be a huge understatement!

Lac of Sainte Croix & Verdon Canyon
The lake of Sainte Croix du Verdon is the perfect place for photo stop with its white sandy beaches next to the deep turquoise water. Then it's on to enjoy panoramic views on the Verdon Canyon and adjacent lake.
Visit of the renowned Occitane of Provence
L’Occitane is an international brand of natural cosmetics born in Provence. Enjoy a visit of the factory, museum and boutique. Here is the story of one man who started his grand adventure in the world of natural cosmetics by purchasing an old rugged distillery machine sitting in an old farmer's field and how that became this large fair trade and ecologically conscious company. Discover the techniques that go into the making of their products by visiting the factory then fill your senses with the exquisite and exotic aromatic plants in their special garden.
Then it's back to Aix en Provence for a 06:00 PM drop off at the Tourist Office.
